The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g., names, email addresses, etc.).
Storage duration
Unless a more specific retention period is mentioned within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing ceases to exist. If you exercise a legitimate request for deletion or revoke consent for data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, deletion will occur after these reasons cease to exist.
General information on the legal basis for data processing on this website
If you have consented to data processing, we will process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR, if special categories of data are processed according to Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing will also be based on Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or access to information on your terminal device (e.g., via device fingerprinting), data processing will also be based on Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG. The consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is required for the performance of a contract or for pre-contractual measures, we will process your data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Furthermore, we will process your data if it is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. Data processing may also take place on the basis of our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The respective legal bases applicable in individual cases are explained in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.
Information on data transfer to third countries not offering adequate data protection, as well as transfer to US companies not DPF-certified
We use, among other things, tools from companies based in third countries that are not considered safe from a data protection perspective, as well as US tools whose providers are not certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in these countries. Please note that a level of data protection comparable to that of the EU cannot be guaranteed in third countries that are not considered safe from a data protection perspective.
We would like to point out that the USA, as a safe third country, generally has an equivalent level of data protection to that of the EU. Data transfer to the USA is therefore permissible if the recipient holds a certification under the „EU-US Data Privacy Framework“ (DPF) or has appropriate additional safeguards. Information on transfers to third countries, including data recipients, can be found in this privacy policy.
Recipients of personal data
As part of our business operations, we collaborate with various external entities. This sometimes requires the transfer of personal data to these external entities. We only transfer personal data to external entities if it is necessary for fulfilling a contract, if we are legally obligated to do so (e.g., transferring data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the transfer pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the data transfer. When using contract processors, we only transfer personal data of our customers based on a valid contract for order processing. In the case of joint processing, a contract for joint processing is concluded.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke a consent that has already been given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to object to data processing in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
If the data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e or f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. You can find the respective legal basis on which a processing is based in this data protection declaration. If you object, we will no longer process your affected personal data, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims (objection according to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR SUCH MARKETING PURPOSES; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL NO LONGER BE PROCESSED FOR MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).
Right of complaint to the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint shall be without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.
Information, Rectification, and Erasure
Under the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing at any time, and if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time for this and for.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restrict processing applies in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we generally need time to verify it. During the verification period, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection under Art. 21 (1) GDPR, a balancing of your interests and our interests must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, that data may only be processed – apart from its storage – with your consent, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

Cookies
Our websites use so-called „cookies.“ Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or automatic deletion occurs through your web browser.

Cookies that are required for the electronic communication process, for providing certain functions desired by you (e.g., for the shopping cart function), or for optimizing the website (e.g., cookies for measuring web traffic) (necessary cookies) are stored based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent has been requested for the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser.
